design(function) never fails to impress me when it comes to his ideas, enthusiasm and skill level. Just when I think I know what the creative limits of a concept are he offers me solutions that are so well executed that I couldn't think of a better person I'd want handling my projects.

Old Hall Strip is a comic strip appearing weekly in Englands biggest regional newspaper. Creator and Illustrator Ilan Sheady required a website to promote the comic, archive strips and encourage more letters and emails from the local community.
Bill Mitchel and Natalie Wood are the fictional main characters of the strip and from the start were the focal point of the site. It was important to convey each of their personalities and mannerisms, along with the comics tone of voice and it's mandate to help promote community events.
The site was designed and built on the wordpress cms system and allows Ilan to update the site via desktop or mobile. The style of the site references old newspapers, relying on a simple layout and typography.

The Downstream Music Website
Ocean Colour Scene are an indie-rock group from Birmingham, they also happen to be my favourite band and this fansite was in dire need of a facelift.
OCS are renowned for their passionate live performances, so it seemed fitting to design the website around the striking and dynamic live photography captured by Tony Briggs and Stefan Durr. Special thanks to both Tony and Stefan for their support on this project.

Chris Moore Male Model Portfolio Website
Chris approached me to design and develop a website to showcase his recent modelling work and allow him to update his portfolio when necessary. I was keen to give the site a personal quality by having Chris interact with the website and give the site a more unique quality compared with some modelling portfolios.

Gideon Thomas Photography Website
Gideon Thomas is a photographer based in Manchester and contacted me to design and develop a site to showcase his best work. A bespoke flash slideshow dominates the homepage, with clean transitions between select photographs.
With fresh content appearing on a monthly basis, wordpress is used for the news page and zen gallery for the photography section. Business cards were also designed in keeping with the style of the website.

Live-Media Website (re-design)
Live-Media had been around for 4 years and was in dire need of a facelift. As the html code was clean and had more importantly, built up some great search engine rankings, it was important any re-design maintained these positions, while improving on the layout.
