Designing a tech startup
Frontier Labs work at the intersection of data science and human centred design to develop A.I. powered solutions that augment the abilities of people and business. Human-Machine Intelligence is the collaboration between human ingenuity and autonomous systems, creating a game changing opportunity to improve productivity, performance and creative endeavour.
Heading up design at Frontier, I was responsible for creating the visual identity and defining the communication strategy in collaboration with co-founder Ben Blackmore.
A cutting-edge technology brand
It is always a challenge to design for something you are very close to and for the founding of Frontier Labs with Ben Blackmore, we had the additional challenge of communicating the potential and often hyperbolic benefits for businesses of artificial intelligence.
We were keen to avoid data/AI cliches but still lead with a dynamic visual message. The website hero in particular aims to build intrigue before informing visitors of Frontier’s mission and domain. The website introduces the concept of “human-machine intelligence” and what this might mean for businesses and society at large, whilst promoting Frontier’s 3 AI-powered products.
